can you obtain alcohol from mint extract?
has anyone tried this method? can you drink the alcohol? Is it similar to moonshine? can anyone prove this false? Where can you get this magical substance? is it safe? Please explain and you will get best answer.
Mint extract is readily available in supermarket baking aisles, next to vanilla extracts. Most flavor extracts have an alcohol content of 80%-98%. Yes, drinking an entire bottle will make you feel drunk, but you will probably end up with a bad stomach ache or even throw up. It is usually mixed into other beverages such as sweetened iced tea when it is being abused and misused for the sole purpose of getting drunk. It is A LITTLE safer than downing a bottle of mouthwash- which has alcohol too, but not meant for consuming (it could poison you). That being said, I would advise against doing both. They could land you in the ER for hours to wait for medical intervention.
